By accessing or using HourlyTaxCalculator.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Description of Service

HourlyTaxCalculator.com provides free, browser-based paycheck estimation tools. All calculations are performed locally in your browser using JavaScript. No personal financial data is transmitted to or stored on our servers.

3. No Tax, Legal, or Financial Advice

IMPORTANT: All calculator results are bracket-based estimates for informational and planning purposes only. They do not constitute tax advice, legal advice, or financial advice. Results may differ significantly from your actual paycheck due to:

  • W-4 withholding elections and adjustments
  • Pre-tax deductions (401k, HSA, health insurance, FSA)
  • Local and municipal income taxes
  • Year-to-date earnings and Social Security wage base limits
  • Supplemental wage withholding rules
  • State-specific deductions and credits not modeled

Always consult a qualified tax professional, CPA, or your employer's HR/payroll department for exact withholding figures.

Accuracy Disclaimer in Detail

Our calculators apply published tax rates and brackets to user-provided inputs using standard bracket-based mathematics. They do not model W-4 elections including additional withholding, multiple-jobs adjustments, or dependent claims that change actual withholding. They do not model pre-tax deductions including 401k contributions, HSA contributions, FSA contributions, traditional IRA contributions, or health insurance premiums. They do not model Roth 401k contributions, garnishments, union dues, or charitable contributions through payroll. Year-to-date FICA limits are not tracked. Additional Medicare Tax of 0.9 percent on wages over 200000 single or 250000 joint is not computed at year end on Form 8959. Local income taxes including NYC, Yonkers, Detroit, Cleveland, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh are noted in FAQ but not in the calculator total. State-specific surcharges including Massachusetts 4 percent surtax on income over 1 million and California Mental Health Services Tax are not applied. State disability insurance including California SDI at 1.1 percent and New York PFL are not deducted.
